AGUINALDO Erlinda "Lynn" Gonzaga Aguinaldo, age 60, of Corpus Christi, was received into the hands of God on Saturday, November 20, 1999. She was preceded in death by her father, Leopoldo R. Gonzaga. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Aguinaldo of Corpus Christi, sons: Allen (Christina) Aguinaldo of Corpus Christi, Gerald (Marisol Gonzalez) Aguinaldo of San Antonio and Christian Aguinaldo of Corpus Christi, daughter, Arlynn Aguinaldo of Corpus Christi, grandchildren, Remelyn and Brandon Aguinaldo, and mother, Adela Pereira Gonzaga of the Philippines. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 beginning at 9:00am until 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at New Funeral Options. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at 1:00pm at our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Cemetery.

ALMENDAREZ Gregorio M. Almendarez, 86, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at his residence. He was a retired rancher. Preceded in death by his son, Gregorio Almendarez, Jr. and a brother, Jesus Almendarez. He is survived by his wife Maria Almendarez of Falfurrias; four sons: Noe Almendarez of Falfurrias, Texas, Pablo Almendarez of Cedar Creek, Texas, Reynaldo Almendarez of Plainview, Texas, Eduardo Almendarez of Corpus Christi, Texas; four sisters: Manuela A. Bayarena of Falfurrias, Texas, Maria Garza of Falfurrias, Texas, Cristelia A. Wilson of Falfurrias, Texas and Petra Trejo of San Jose, California; two brothers, Ricardo Almendarez of Falfurrias, Texas and Guadalupe Almenadariz of Falfurrias, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Howard-Williams-Turcotte Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 26, 1999 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Burial will follow at the Old Sacred Heart Cemetery.

BLANCO Juan Carlos 21 years old, and Elizabeth Ann 19 years old, Blanco, both of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 20, 1999 in Houston, Texas. Juan and Elizabeth were the youngest brother and sister of 11 siblings. Both had attended Holy Family School then went on together to Bishop Garriga Middle School and then to Corpus Christi Academy. Juan Carlos graduated in May 1997 from Corpus Christi Academy and Elizabeth was attending and planning to graduate this May 2000 from IWA. She was making plans to attend college in Austin, Texas. Both were Altar Servers at Holy Family for 12 years. Juan Carlos was currently living in Austin, Texas with roommate Kenny Reynolds. He was employed at Dell Computers and was making plans to attend the University of Texas this Spring 2000. Elizabeth was currently employed at Homeport Federal Credit Union. Both were young spirited and inseparable from each other. They both were very outgoing, loved and enjoyed life, family gatherings, dancing, traveling and music. Elizabeth and Juan Carlos loved to sing and make everyone laugh with joy. Both were cherished by everyone they knew. They will be greatly missed by their parents, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and especially friends. They are survived by their parents, Mr. Victor and Celia S. Blanco; sisters, Blanca E. (Domingo) Torres Jr., Alma (Arturo) Rodriguez, Maria R. (Daniel) Garza, Maggie (Eddie) Reynolds; brothers: Victor Jr. (Veronica) Blanco, Jose Luis (Veronica) Blanco, Valentin (Eileen) Blanco, Alonzo Blanco, Martin Blanco (Sophia Ommani); maternal grandparents, Seberiana A. Soto, Ramon M. Lopez; nieces and nephews, Rudy Lee Salomon, Jovanna Torres, Krystal Torres, Christopher Blanco, Danielle Garza, Victoria Blanco, Liana Blanco, Valentin Blanco Jr., Alexandra Rodriguez, Gabrielle Garza, Victor Blanco Jr., Ana Lillian Rodriguez, Meagan Reynolds, Jose Luis Blanco Jr., Christian Blanco, Domingo J. Torres III, and Francisco Blanco. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 25, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday November 26, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

CHAPA Victoria Aleman Chapa, 92, passed away on Monday, November 22, 1999 in a local hospital. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 1999 at First Baptist Church in Gregory, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 1999 at First Baptist Church in Gregory, Texas. Interment will follow at Gregory Portland Cemetery.

COLEMAN Amy Coleman, 78, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 in a local hospital. Funeral Services are pending with Corpus Christi Funeral Home.

DAVIS Graveside services for Martha Mildred Davis, 87, who died Monday, November 22, 1999, in Houston, will be held Saturday, November 27, 1999, at 11:00 a.m. at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Rev. Jeff Johnson will officiate. Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman has charge of the arrangements. Miss Davis was born December 8, 1911, in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Carlos Clifton and Mable E. (Blackmon) Davis. She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1929. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in 1933, and her Masters degree from Texas University in 1953. She taught in the Corpus Christi Independent School District for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, Corpus Christi Outdoor Club, Retired Teachers Association, and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi. Miss Davis preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Sylvia and Katherine and brother, Carlos Davis, is survived by her nephews: James E. Davis and his wife, Elaine, Joe Jack Davis and his wife, Peggy, and Frank Baker; niece, Julie Davis; and two great-nephews.

DONNELLY Joseph William Donnelly passed away Monday, November 22, 1999 at the age of 79. He retired from the United States Airforce after 28 years of service. He is also a retired history teacher and golf coach at Haas Junior High. He will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph W. (Bill) and wife Kitty Donnelly of Marysville, CA and Thomas Garland and wife Diana Donnelly of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at the Seaside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 26, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. in the Seaside Chapel. Interment will follow as Seaside Memorial Park.

FLOYD Maurine Melissa Alice Hay Floyd entered into eternal peace on Sunday, November 21, 1999. She was 92. Maurine was born July 9, 1907 in Eddy, Texas to Frank and Minnie Fagg Hay. She was a former resident of Temple. After relocating to Corpus Christi, Maurine worked as an accountant of KEYS Radio Station and retried form John L. Harrison, a local Builder. She was a member of Central Christian Church and past president of the Grandmother's Club and a Charter member of the Beverly Heights Garden Club. Because of her love of flowers and nature. Maurine served as treasure for the Council of Garden Clubs. Maurine volunteered as chairperson of Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop. She is survived by her son, M. D. Floyd (Ernie); a sister, Essie Mae Burke of Muskogee, Oklahoma; two grand daughters, Cynthia Maynard (Phil) of Austin and Pamela Floyd of San Antonio; two great grand children, Stephanie and Crystal Maynard both of Tyler; and a special and loving friend Ruby Poole. Maurine's request is to be cremated and a memorial service which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 1999 at Central Christian Church, 6301 Weber. A family burial will take place later at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Where she will be buried beside her beloved husband, Marvin Dee "Buddy" Floyd.

JASSO Eusebio S. Jasso, 76, passed away Monday, November 22, 1999 at a local hospital. He was born March 23, 1923 in Goliad, Texas to Eusebio and Olivia Jasso. Mr. Jasso worked for P.P.G. from 1944 until his retirement in 1982. He was an avid Cowboys fan and enjoyed boxing. He is preceded in death by his daughter Gracie Gonzalez. Mr. Jasso is survived by his wife of 57 years, Delfina Jasso; nine children, Eusebio (Linda) Jasso of Visalia, California, Arnold (Alicia N.) Jasso, Lydia Irene (Joe) Pena, Alicia Jasso, Diana (Joe) Leija, Luis (Linda) Jasso, Eva (David) Gonzalez, Steve (Betty) Jasso, and Robert (Diana) Jasso all of Corpus Christi; twenty-four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Amado and Ernesto (Dora) Jasso of Corpus Christi, and one sister Juanita (Tony) Garza of San Antonio. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernesto and Amado Jasso.

JONES ODEM - Irma Margaret Kahler Jones went home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 22, 1999 at the age of 88. She was born in Handsbourgh, Mississippi on March 6, 1911. She was an active member of Morgan Avenue Baptist where she taught Sunday School for many years before moving to Odem in 1971 and joining First Baptist Church of Odem. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Howard Jones and a son, Howard Jones, Jr. Survivors are a son, Charles R. Jones, Sr. of Odem; daughter, Sharon Jones Tischler of Angleton; brothers, Norris Kahler and Emory Kahler both of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; sisters, Nell Marine and Harriett Easterling both of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; grandchildren, Robert Jones, Karen Jones, David Jones, Margaret Jordan, Cheri Ring, Charles Jones, Jr., Jeremie Jones, Allen Tischler and Matthew Tischler and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in First Baptist Church of Odem with Rev. Steve Winters, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

LOTT Deacon S.W. "Tony" Lott Sr., 93, passed away on Sunday November 21, 1999 at his residence. He was a Deacon of West Haven Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was one of the 18 original Black Cowboys that was left on Welder Ranch. "Crying for Daylight" by Louise S. O'Conner that was featured in the Smithsonian Washington D.C. and in Oklahoma Cowboy of fame. He recently was special guest at the Capitol in Austin, Texas in "Crying for Daylight." He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Stephney Lott, Jr., his wife, Mary Lott,two brothers, JY Lott, Ellsworth Lott, and a sister, Esther Rice. He is survived by his son, Fletcher Lott, Sr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; a daughter, Shirley (Emmitt) Rhodes of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, Stephanie Regena Rhodes of College Station, Texas, Fletcher Allen Lott, Jr. of Houston, Texas, Rodney Clark Lott of Conroe, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Christy Lott of Corpus Christi, Texas, Loren Brionne Rhodes of College Station, Texas; his daughter-in-law, Josyln Lott; his nephew, Leo Rice both of Corpus Christi, Texas; two nieces, Esther Garrett of Corpus Christi, Texas, Johnnie Marie Lott of Waco, Texas; a special grand-nephew, Ronald McNary; numerous cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. A special friend, Dorothy Lucille Johnson of California. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 25, 1999 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at West Haven Baptist. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, November 26, 1999 at St. John Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

PENA Rolando G. Pena, 46 of Corpus Christi, passed away on Monday, November 22, 1999. He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Pena. He is survived by his daughter: Alissa Pena; mother: Isabella G. Pena; two brothers: Manuel Pena and Mario Luis Pena all of Corpus Christi; sister: Gladys Childress of Quincy, Illinois. The family will be receiving friends from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Memorial Funeral Home, Holly Road Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 1999 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

SCOTT Caitlynn Alise Scott; infant daughter of Alison Denise Roberston and Quincy A. Scott passed away on Monday, November 22, 1999 in a local hospital. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Era Robertson of Victoria, Texas; her paternal grandparents, Sandra Scott and Lonnie Coleman both of Corpus Christi. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
