THE SCOOP: IceRays coach Taylor Hall told his team Thursday that both road games this weekend were "must-win" games. Corpus Christi played the first of the two games Friday at Fort Worth, trying to put an end to its four-game losing streak - Amarillo was idle Friday - Part of the reason for painting today's, non-divisional game as a must-win could be because of former IceRays forward Dave Shute. After Hall traded Shute to the Rattlers, Shute made some scathing comments about Hall in the Caller-Times. Shute called Hall, "fake" - The IceRays will stay on the road for two games after this one, returning to Memorial Coliseum on Nov. 28 for a Sunday game against Central Texas.
