THE SCOOP*: Corpus Christi goes for three wins in a row and five overall against the Stampede after defeating Central Texas, 6-3, last Friday. The IceRays were down, 2-0, before a five-goal explosion in the second period. . . . Corpus Christi has not player since Friday's victory; Central Texas played at Odessa Thursday night. . . . IceRays forward Geoff Bumstead is tied for fourth place in WPHL scoring with 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists). . . . Fellow IceRays Kurt Wickenheiser and Jody Praznik cracked the Top 20 for scoring. Both are tied for 20th with 30 points. Wickenheiser has 17 goals and 13 assists, and Praznik has three goals and 27 assists. Praznik's assists total is good for second place in that category, one spot ahead of Bumstead.
